Adoption is forbidden in Islam, but I have three kids that I raise as my own. Their mothers decided to work abroad in hopes of a better future for the family especially the children. They are my cousins. I have my own children. They already graduated and just recently got accepted in their jobs - one is a graduate of architecture and the other one of criminology. They give me money during pay day, just like their dad who's been abroad for five years now. Alhamdulillah! I am raising my nephews as my own, but they will never be mine; they are their mother's. When the right time comes, I will tell them who brought them to this world but right now it is my duty to raise them while their mother is away. Alhamdulillah! Everything is fine.
